Corona Information

Study Space

From 21 June onwards, the Study Space is open for you again.
Here you have the opportunity to book your own personal study and workspace for one week at a time.

The places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so it is worth booking early. As soon as all available places for a period are confirmed, all further booking attempts are automatically blocked. In this case, just try again for another period.

Before you are allowed to use your assigned workstation in the Study Space, you will receive a short introduction from us, at the end of which you will have to sign a user agreement stating that you have taken note of the hygiene concept of the Study Space and that you will behave in accordance with the current Corona Regulations of the State of NRW and the notices in the Study Space.
Only after this has been done, your DeliCard will be activated for the Study Space.

In case your DeliCard is not yet activated and you have never been to the Study Space with it: No problem, we will simply do this together on site. If you don’t have a DeliCard, you can also borrow a transponder from us for a deposit of 10 EUR or a chip card for a deposit of 5 EUR.
Before each change of persons, i.e. at the beginning of each new week, the area will be professionally cleaned. In addition, we will disinfect the jointly used areas (e.g. sanitary facilities, door handles, etc.) at 24-hour intervals. Sundays and holidays are excluded from this.
During the booking period you will then have a fixed seat, for the disinfection of which you are responsible yourself if necessary. We will of course provide the appropriate surface disinfectant.

To book a seat, simply go to our booking tool and select either “Study Space (Stadtcampus)” or a specific sprint room. If you would like to sit in a room together with someone from your household or if you would like to occupy a group study room with your study group (max. 6 people), we will try to accommodate this. Please leave a corresponding comment when making your reservation.
In order to offer as many students as possible the opportunity to study in the Study Space, a booking can be made once every two months.
If not all places for the next week are occupied, we will of course confirm multiple bookings.

To activate your DeliCard and to sign a user agreement, please come to our office on the 6th floor of the Stadtcampus on the respective Monday between 10:00 and 12:00. If you have not shown up by 12:00, your place will be given to students on the waiting list.

The following rules must be observed when using the Study Space:

  • Masks are compulsory everywhere except at the place assigned to you
  • Entering only allowed with a reservation
  • Entering with flu symptoms prohibited

We are happy to finally offer the Study Space again, if you have any questions feel free to contact us via our contact form.

Learners can take a break and exchange ideas in the coffee kitchen and on the lounge furniture on the roof terrace.

The Study Space is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., including on holidays. You can find the Study Space House Rules here.

FAQ Event Space

The AStA Stadtcampus is a student-administered space for other students which can be booked for various types of events.

Cultural events in a student or university context, conferences, readings, lectures/seminars, team meetings, Fachschaft meetings and many more. In principle, we can accommodate any event that has a student benefit. Private events such as birthdays, graduation parties, etc. are not permitted.

You can make a booking via the room booking tool above. You are also welcome to order snacks and drinks on commission, which we will then hand out to you at the handover. The confirmation of the booking can take several weeks. However, if you need it urgently, you can send an email to .

Student groups and public events will be given priority in the allocation process.

Basically, the space is designed for 130 people. If you want to organize an event that takes place primarily in a seated position (i.e. conferences, lectures, etc.), you can use these guidelines:

100 people All guests will find a seat, but the arrangement will be somewhat packed.
80-60 people With this number of people, the event appears well attended, but here every guest can sit comfortably.
60-50 people This is the ideal number of people, because every guest can sit comfortably and move around without any problems.

We do not charge rent for the use of the space, only a small maintenance fee that is used for the regular purchase of cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc. This may vary depending on event size and length.

The event space is equipped with Eduroam, Webauth and Freifunk, as well as a projector in both event rooms with various connections (including AUX, VGA, HDMI, XLR), and a mixing console, which is connected to two permanently installed boxes. We do NOT provide a laptop.

You are welcome to borrow additional equipment from us. This includes: Flipchart (incl. markers), whiteboard (incl. markers), extension cords, multiple plugs, bar tables, beer pong tables, director’s chairs, Fritz Kola furniture, four RGB light spots and parasols. If you are interested, please ask us in advance about the availability of the respective objects.

In the kitchen you will find everything you need for an event: Glasses (soft drink, cocktail, champagne, wine, beer and shot glasses), cups, plates, cutlery, two coffee machines, a kettle and two refrigerators.

No. You can use the caterer that suits your own taste. When using a catering service, it is important to plan delivery and pick-up, as both must be done within the booked period and cannot be handled by the AStA staff.

With pleasure! But make sure that you keep the window on the side of the grill closed. We do not provide charcoal and lighters. Please note that the grill should be cleaned by you before use, not afterwards, because extinguishing the charcoal after the event would contaminate the terrace too much.

Yes, you are definitely responsible for leaving the area clean. Preferably the way you would like to find it for your event. Cleaning utensils are available at the Stadtcampus. If you do not want to clean the area yourself, we will be happy to arrange a cleaning company for you in advance. We recommend this especially if you are planning an event that is expected to leave a lot of dirt.
