University elections 2022

From 4 July to 7 July, you will once again have the opportunity to have a say in the future of your university. During this time, the university elections will take place and you can vote for who should represent you in the student parliament, the senate, the student representatives and the faculty councils.

The elections will take place online, you can easily and quickly make your mark under the following link (in the period from 04.07. 09:30 to 07.07 15:00).

The Student Parliament is the highest decision-making body of the student body and elects and controls the General Student Committee (AStA), which is your direct representation, and decides on issues that affect the entire student body.

The student councils and student representatives are your direct representatives when it comes to the degree programmes and work to make them better and more student-friendly.

In the Senate and in the Faculty Councils, students work together with professors and academic and non-academic staff. The Senate works together with the Presidential Board on the direction of the university. The Faculty Council works with the Dean’s Office on the direction of the faculty.

In all these bodies it is important to have a strong student voice, so it is all the more important that you vote. For all those who voted, we offer the possibility to participate in a lottery to win 10 times a 20 € voucher for the Mensa. If we achieve a 20% participation in the elections, we want to celebrate this with you and sponsor 200 litres of free beer in the Grill Café on the evening of the last election day.

To help you make your decision, we have created a StuPa-O-Mat, which you can find here: https://asta.uni-paderborn.de/stupaomat/

We are also organising a panel discussion, which you can watch live in the stream (https://youtu.be/Zzo57hyrcVg) or as a public viewing event on Takeshi’s campus on the Audimax lawn on 29 June at 6:30 pm.
