Do you know this situation? You’re sitting at the table with friends, fellow students or your family and suddenly a heated discussion arises that is dominated by slogans and you simply don’t know what to say in response.
We want to help you stay able to speak in such moments. To this end, we at the AStA are offering a workshop that deals specifically with right-wing slogans, conspiracy myths and populist statements. In this workshop, you will be given tools to argue confidently and effectively in precisely such moments of uncertainty.
Speaker Chiara Throner will show you how to recognize right-wing and conspiracy ideology statements – and how to counter them with confidence. It’s not just about theory: we’ll work with tried-and-tested debating strategies and look at what research has to say about them. So feel free to register!
