ASV: Orientation day Introduction, presentation and Q&A

The Ausländische Studierenden-Vertretung (ASV) is a student organization representing all international students at the University of Paderborn. This includes students who have enrolled for degree programs, language programs and those of you who are interested in applying for the university.
We, the ASV team, are ready to help you in every step of the way so that you can have a smooth transition and get comfortable here. We can help you with finding accommodation, a job, guide you through the initial processes that are required at the start of your studies and advise you on the social issues.
We also organize several events throughout the year where you can socialize with other international students. Every semester starts with the orientation week where you get to know about the way the university works, the important buildings within the campus, and of course, each other. We also organize different city tours, pub crawls, cultural and sports events, etc.
If you have any unanswered questions about the university or your stay you are always welcome at the ASV office. We shall try our best to clarify your doubts or provide any information required by you. Within the ASV office, you have the opportunity to use computers with an Internet connection (e.g. to call home online via Skype). If you feel homesick or lonely you can just drop in and hang out, we can have coffee or tea together.
